Last night, while I was working–aka playing Bookworm–William jumped into my lap. Fortunately, the camera was within reach, so I was able to document the adjustments he made searching for the perfect position of repose.
Note on Position #1: What looks like a spot of mange near his tail is merely the result of being rubbed too hard, too often, in the same place. He approves mightily of the petting, but I’m afraid to withstand even a Texas winter, he will require a pair of pantaloons.
- Position #3: Kitty shifts from right to left.
- Position #4: Kitty discovers burning tiles.
- Position #5: Kitty settles into state of companionable repose.

I have a 3 pound Yorkie who does this all the time. If I am lucky, she’ll curl up UNDER my laptop, between my knees. 🙂 But if she stays on top, I start playing dog-and-cat youtube videos for her entertainment. 🙂

This reminds me of how my Yorkies settle in on my map and try to nudge everything else ( like my knitting, a book, or my iPad) out of the way!

Must be a Yorkie trait. My Yorkie, Jelly, owns me. She does not like for me to read the newspaper or magazine but a book is ok if she can snuggle under it in my lap. She also lays next to my head when I lay down with a headache, as if she is making it better! (she really is)

William has a mighty bottom indeed. What a character. And you are dwelling today on cats in pantaloons! Only this morning I was posting on chickens in cuddly jumpers! Great minds think alike.

I have a kitten called Clive Bond. We have considered a dinner jacket for him, but feel almost certain Clive would not countenance this. It is a shame. He could give Daniel Craig a run for his money because he has more legs.
