Progress since Wednesday:

  • Write 500 words a day on Molly: 0/0

  • Go to bed by 11:00 p.m.: 2/4

  • Exercise 30 minutes: 0/4

No excuses.

One step forward: I realized what must be done to untangle a major snarl in the plot.

  1. Plot unsnarling: MAJOR PLUS! Well done, you! Also, can I just say that I love your goal of going to bed by 11:00 p.m.? I am HORRIBLE at getting good and consistent rest. Maybe I should take a page from your book! Good luck and happy writing (and sleeping!) this week! 😀

    1. Thanks. I had unexpected help with the plot unsnarling, which I’ll blog about soon. Without sleep, I don’t have a prayer of writing.

      Good luck this week.

  2. I like your bed by eleven goal. I keep saying I’m going to give myself exercise goals but I know it’ll be a big failure from the get go. Yay for plot untangling. Best of luck this week. 🙂

    1. Thanks. At present, I’m happy with small steps in all three areas. I’m most likely to fail when I set a goal of perfection.

  3. How fun and frustrating to have a goat for a pet! And I am so happy for you that you untangled that knot in your story. Love your bio! LOL!

And my exercise program looks just like yours. 😀

    1. If Whitey had been an infant when we were introduced, we’d have been better friends. She had already developed certain goat-like habits she couldn’t break.

As for exercise–I’m thinking of getting up and moving any minute now.

  4. What a great idea to post your goals here. I have some of the same — and about the same success rates. Do you find it keeps you more motivated to know your goals are public and not just scratched on the back of an old manuscript?

    1. Once upon a time, making my goals public would have helped. Recently, however, I have been shameless about tossing goals onto this blog and then ignoring them. I hope that having to report my progress twice a week will help keep me on task. Does sharing your goals influence the way you work?

Thank you for visiting and for commenting. I hope you’ll return. And good luck in your endeavors.
