We’ve tried to reduce William, had him down several pounds, but things fell apart when he began eating the carpet. When we got him, he was all tummy, the result of being starved before being rescued, I guess, and he ate everything he could get. I should have put the brakes on that. David now feeds them small meals throughout the day and night to protect the carpet. And to keep Ernest from needing ultrasounds to make sure nothing has gotten stuck in there. He’ll swallow anything, and has.

They are indeed sweet, but they work behind the scenes, so to speak. We rarely see it.
