To All My Blogger Friends

Dear Blogger Bloggers,

For the past several weeks I have tried repeatedly to comment on your posts, but Blogger has repeatedly refused to accept my comments. Word verification is the hang-up: the letters I type never match the letters I’m told to type, no matter how many times I type them. And proof them.

I’m finished with waiting for the problem to fix itself. I’ll report it to Blogger. In the meantime, I’m sending harmonious vibrations your way.

Disgustedly* yours,

*With Blogger, not with you.

  1. I’ve had the same problem. I have found a solution…Blogger will not let you comment IF you log in with your wordpress account…however, if there is an option to comment using the name/url option…your comment WILL go through that way. If the blog doesn’t allow that, you can always comment using your google id.

    1. Thanks for the tip. Is this something new? I used to have problems commenting now and then but could usually get through. The digital world just gets curiouser and curiouser.

  2. No comment.

Just kidding! I’m sure sorry you’re having this problem. You’re one of my all-time favorite commenters. Not that there’s BEEN anything to comment on over at my blog lately…

  3. It is very off-putting when the third attempt fails…. and then I give up. It doesn’t seem to like WordPress lo-on at all

  4. It happened to me too,…
But it depends on the setting of the bloggers’ blogs, if they put no moderation, it will be easier for us to comment,..

    1. Ahem. If they/we put no moderation, we will have to delete half the comments, unless we want our viewers to see lots of ads for purses, personal products, banking services, etc.

I love using blogger and won’t change, but do hate that some people have problems leaving comments. I usually post my blogs on FB and everyone can comment there.

This system is rather cumbersome what with needing to receive an email, click on a link, and click another thing in order to get followups. None of them are perfect!
