Cats are rather delicate creatures and they are subject to a good many different ailments, but I have never heard of one who suffered from insomnia. ~ Joseph Wood Krutch

~ Telling the Truth, Mainly
Too right. I found mine in a relaxed attitude next to the kettle, up on a high inaccessible working surface yesterday. I have no idea how she got there.

They’re amazing, aren’t they? And so absolutely unapologetic when you locate them.

Beautiful cats, truthful words … and they both brought a smile to my face.

Those with whom I am most familiar–the two that belong to daughter Johanna and lived with us for a couple of years–were certainly not insomniacs. Totally nocturnal, they had no trouble falling asleep when their people awoke, and no problem frolicking through the night while their people try to sleep. Interesting critters!

I hope they didn’t frolic on you throughout the night. It happens. Mine give the illusion of sleeping at night, but I know they’re downstairs walking on the furniture and goodness knows what else.

I love the quote. My little Agamemnon is ailing right now, but you’re right, he’s not having trouble sleeping. Especially in my lap or on top of me when I’l trying to sleep.

Are you extra popular with Agamemnon in cold weather? My aloof cat spent much of the day in my lap. When the mercury rises, he’ll start ignoring me again.
I’m sorry Agamemnon is ailing and hope you and he find something to make him better very soon.

I’m supposed to be dosing him with prednisone. Last night and this morning it worked, but he’s pretty smart. I doubt that will go on.
